Everything practical, in one place.
Fees, insurance, where we meet, and what happens after you book.
Start with a free 25-minute consultation.
We talk about what's going on. You'll leave with a feel for me and for video telehealth, knowing the fee, how often we'd meet, and what to expect. Nothing is scheduled until you've heard all of that.
New clients see one option in the scheduler: the consultation. You'll enter your name, contact details, and a card to hold the booking.
Fees, published so you don't have to ask.
This is a private-pay practice. I'm not in network with any insurer and I don't bill insurance. I'd rather you know the numbers before you book than find out in the first session.

Cancellations and rescheduling need 48 hours' notice, or the full session fee is charged. A missed session is charged in full. Illness and emergencies are the exception; tell me and we'll sort it.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted. If you have out-of-network benefits, I'll provide a superbill on request for you to submit yourself; reimbursement is between you and your insurer. You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before your first appointment. Read the notice.
Where we meet.
Sessions are by secure video, or by phone when that's what the situation calls for. You need a private space and a solid internet or phone connection. Travel is easy to accommodate. I'm based in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I spent most of my adult life in North Carolina, and that's where I'm clinically licensed.

The questions people ask before they book.
Will my insurance cover this?
I don't bill insurance and I'm not in anyone's network. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, I'll give you a superbill on request to submit, and your insurer decides what it reimburses. HSA and FSA cards work directly. Many people choose private pay for the privacy: nothing goes to an insurer, and no diagnosis enters an insurance record.
What if I'm not sure I need therapy?
That's what the consultation is for. Twenty-five minutes, free, and I'll tell you plainly what I think you need, including if it isn't therapy. I'm honored by everyone who invites me into their world, even when it lasts twenty-five minutes.
How is this different from coaching?
Coaching works forward from goals, and it doesn't require working knowledge of the person, only of the technique being taught. Counseling at its best works with the whole person: the history, the nervous system, the patterns that keep producing the same result. I do both inside this work, and I'm licensed and accountable for the clinical part.
What if we're not a fit?
You'll hear it from me, and you'll feel it yourself, in the consultation or by session three at the latest. A counseling relationship isn't something to force yourself into. What I tell my own family and friends: if the person doesn't pass the vibe check, move on. Do consultations with two or three people. If one passes the first impression and you're still not sure, give it a few sessions; by then you'll feel progress, or you'll know what to look for next. Nobody gets kept because the schedule has a hole in it, and I'll give you the names of people I'd send a friend to.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. I'm a counselor, not a prescriber. If medication might help, we'll talk about it, and I'll support you in working with a physician or psychiatrist if you want me to.
Who this isn't for.
Clarity here saves us both a consultation.
- Anyone in a life-threatening situation right now. Call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency room. This practice isn't an emergency service.
- Anyone looking for medication management.
- Anyone who wants a place to talk each week without anything changing. That's a legitimate thing to want. It isn't what this is.
Ten clients at a time.
That's the cap on how many clients I work with, and it's what makes the plan by session three possible. When I'm full, you'll hear from me directly, with a waiting list and a referral if you want one. The cap sometimes drops; that never affects active clients.
